At Nubarch, we specialize in conducting architectural, industrial and marine surveys using lidar laser scanner technology.

During the scanning process, the laser scanner emits pulses of light that bounce off objects and register as points in three-dimensional space. These points are collected to form a highly accurate digital representation of the environment, known as a point cloud.

The main advantage of using a point cloud in the survey process is accuracy and efficiency.

Compared to traditional manual measurement methods, which can be laborious and time-consuming, LIDAR laser scanning allows a massive amount of data to be captured in a short period of time. This means that a complete and detailed digital representation of a structure or environment can be obtained in much less time than it would take using conventional methods.

Additionally, the resulting point cloud is extremely accurate and provides a solid foundation for digital modeling and detailed documentation. This means that architects, engineers and designers can rely on the accuracy of the data captured to perform structural analysis, plan renovations and create virtual models with a high degree of fidelity to physical reality. In summary, the use of point clouds in the survey process offers a unique combination of accuracy, efficiency and quality that far exceeds traditional manual measurement methods.

Our deliverables are adapted to the specific needs of each client. The point cloud resulting from the scan can be processed and filtered to eliminate unwanted or redundant data. It can then be delivered in a variety of formats, including:

  • RCP – Autodesk Recap Format.
  • RCS – Autodesk Recap Simplified Format.
  • E57 – 3D image data format
  • XYZ or .PTS – ASCI Standard Formats

This allows for easy integration with the systems and software used by our clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience in implementing scanned data into their projects. With Nubarch, you can trust that your lifting needs will be met with precision and professionalism, giving you a solid foundation for your next steps in design and construction.
